Milly Roberts – A Women’s Fitness, Well-being & Lifestyle Coach
I am a busy mum of two who is committed to both my children and enriching the lives of women who seek guidance in fitness, well-being and lifestyle.
For years I was a PE teacher specialising in Anatomy and Physiology and Exercise Physiology. After having my children I decided to change my path. Having qualified as a personal trainer I wanted to extend my offering by qualifying in post-natal exercise. In the future I will continue to attend courses to broaden my knowledge of training women at every stage of life.
I decided to qualify in massage, sports massage and pregnancy massage because I simply love it. I truly believe in the power of human touch and how nourishing to body and mind it can be. In the packages I offer, you are in control of where and how deep you would like your massage.
Since being a mum, my lifestyle has completely changed. I have learnt that taking time for self-care and ‘me-time’ is so far from being selfish.
Mums need to have time for themselves, so they feel balanced, in control and as happy as they can be. Over time I changed my eating habits as the diet of caffeine and sugar I became accustomed to was detrimental to both my physical and mental health and impacted on my relationships with family; I was severely obese and suffered from PND. I would like to help people learn about how to prepare nourishing, enriching and delicious food to fuel their bodies correctly. I used to be the most crazy and disorganised person who made each day up as it went along. Planning ahead really can help you to find some sanity in a busy life.
I work to serve women as best I can. A lifestyle change is an ongoing commitment that takes time. I find advertising ‘summer bodies’ etc a real injustice as the health and fitness industry should be going beyond this and offering to teach you how to look after yourself for life. The true measure of happiness is how you feel, not how you look.
